Good cap, uncommon distributor.

Friedrich Methmann of Flensburg Holm 43 Nordorstrasse 81 from what I can see. I agree, it's good and a maker you don't see too often.

Here is some information on Methmann (thanks to Chris) - see post # 17:
Caps with exterior tags?
He seems to have survived the war (post # 99):
Bundeswehr Berets and soft caps....

Good evening, I just had someone saying on the other thread that some of Kai Winkler's items are overpriced. Does anyone please have any opinions as to the price of this item?
Many thanks

This is a great forum. I was out of collecting headgear for over 10 years (military firearms are my obsession, had to make a choice). I found a wealth of knowledge here. Even if you don't know something guys are kind and educate rather than make light.
What is the link to the visor to see what the asking price is?

Wehrmacht Heer Schirmmutze fur - History Shop
Its priced at €472/£407/$556 but then there is another price of €675/£583/$795 which is labelled final cost excluding shipping which confused me. According to another page shipping to Europe is only €25 for items worth over €100. I'm confused to say the least.
Many thanks

As far as I can see he is asking € 472,50 (reduced price - obviously he couldn't sell it for 675,-) without shipping which would cost € 25,- within Europe via FedEx/DHL for items worth more than € 100,-. So all in all it would be € 497,50
