Yours is a wonderful cap. My very favorite, save for the officer's cap of similar date. Bravo. A pleasing piece in th extreme.
a small riposte...this officer's cap has silver (vs alu.) cap cords as well as the glossy, non pebbled side buttons associated with early SA as well as the regalia of the old army. The silver content cap cord squares with early SS insignia with silver wire content, or similar in the SA to which colleague Coleman has made reference to this kind of Effekten and showed us from his treasures.

an early officer's cap in wear... a famous picture from Charlottenburg/Berlin West.
Here some bad images of an early cap with updated badges....
another early tag....pleasing shot of an early officer's cap made in 1935...
The officer's cap in post 3 has this sort of tag.... however, this image is from another cap of similar date of craftsmanship. This tag is from Mueller/Muenchen. The officer cap in post 3 was made in Franconia, in a town near Bayreuth.

another exemplar, with a slightly different Danziger Totenkopf.
another exemplar....
yet another example....this is Derek Chapman's and this cap is doubly extraordinary as it has a SS Gruppe West imprint (i.e. from around 1932/3) and its peak bears the RZM/SS issue mark. That is, the peak was added later, a reflection of Prussian thrift with items of uniform.
Many thanks to Derek Chapman and his refined taste and learning.
