D, great score! Most do not realize these are rarer than the WH panzer beret (& are more colorful!)

Certainly a first for me. Congrats!

My greatest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them

I am struggling to make out the details, but is the square stamp a Soviet film or museum inventory stamp? It immediately puts me in mind of one.
Many thanks for showing this rare and interesting beret.
Very nice indeed.
All the best and a happy new collecting year!

I'd rather think this is a stamp from the postal services where the person was working, compare here (last picture):

The specialists will be able to tell what P. K. K. Bln means - something like Post.... Berlin perhaps.
That's a really striking cap my friend.
Here's my example and lovely it is too.
Thanks! I was pretty excited to find it, and love the colors. A nice break from the earth tones and blacks of other branches. While it may be rarer than a panzer beret, I'm sure not as valuable? I know Postal items aren't near as collectible as Panzer so I'd assume not. There aren't many of these out there, that's for sure. Google turns up only a post or two here on this forum, and one or two dealer sites with sold examples and no prices.D, great score!
