Another wartime Red Cross officer. I would assume that like the SS-Kleiderkasse, the DRK Kleiderkasse required the sattelform/same-plane configuration during wartime:

I'm trying to keep the craft.
This was one I should have never have sold, but did.
It had a killer sattelform, and the entire front peak was stiffened with some sort of buckram-like material:
“Show me the regulation, and I’ll show you the exception.”
It would be nice to have a cap like this in my hand. Pure killer quality.
Not only is this same-plane, this guy has a peak like Mt Everest:
