Heer overseas cap
Hi friends!
I bought that heer overseas cap yesterday. The sewing oft the eagle is good. Everything looks good, but the way of sewing the cocarde is strange, the dealer thinks that is factory wartime period apply. I thing is it postwar applyed. What do you think? Thanks in advance!

Apparently the cockade from the factory was sewn with white thread, which is not the case here...

Everything is possible, but this cockade looks rather new to me, it does not match very much the Feldmütze and eagle condition....
but who knows, it always hard to comment without handling items
and the stitching method is unkown to me until now

I wanted to upload this photo the last time, but could not do so....
as you can see, the original cockade was most likely sewn the way the eagle is, with zig-zag stitchings...
