M34/35 Feldmütze Overseas Cap, Rare Maker
Hi again, friends. I'd like to share my new M34/35 Feldmütze that I just got - gotta love getting new loot in the mail!
This one is in excellent shape, only very lightly worn it seems. White Infanterie soutache nicely applied and folded up and over into the interior of the cap, and a perfect looking eagle and cockade. Stamped Size 54 to the top of the interior, and maker marked as Siegfried Koppetsch, Marienburg.
I've never personally encountered this maker before, but I did include some cool pics of a knick-knack (looks like it could be an ashtray) also featuring the maker, Siegfried Koppetsch of Marienburg. It's advertising Koppetsch as dealing in "Pelzwaren, Hüte und Herrenartikel" (fur goods, hats and men's wear).
I'll try to take some better pics tomorrow in the sunlight - the lighting wasn't the best when I snapped these in my office.
I'm proud of this one - enjoy!

Nice one! I'm not enough of a specialist in Shiffchen to know a rare maker from a prolific one, but the stamp is nice to have.
The Aschenbecher is most likely a promotional item from the firm.

Thanks TW, I appreciate the comments.
I'm no cap guru either, so "rare" might not be the correct term for this manufacturer, but it's the only one I've encountered with this stamp and it took me a heck of a time to try and find any information at all on Herr Koppetsch - guess that makes it rare to me, anyway.
The little ashtray fellow isn't mine, but I did want to buy it - unfortunately he was unavailable.
Thanks again for having a look!

I think Koppetsch was the distributor, would be interesting who made the cap. You can have a tour around the Niedere Lauben of Marienburg Westpreußen (today Malbork in Poland) here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a408g_w3Mz4 - the very last picture (in colour) shows another maker or distributor of uniforms in Marienburg, H. Passarge, Uniformen für die Armee und Marine. Here another tour, even better, introducing several Marienburg enterprises by name: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rb_7eesNV4w

Cool!! Thanks for those links - I've never seen those before. Those will certainly lead me down a rabbit hole.
I'd bet you're right about Koppetsch begin the distributor, I hadn't thought of that. Seems like there'd be no way to identify the cap maker, I suppose. Thanks for having a look and posting those links - much appreciated.

Wow, never heard of that distributor before--always something new in this hobby!
