I hope you are all doing great. I have a query regarding this Orstgruppe level visor cap by Fewegla: The hat itself looks to be original, but I fear the sweatband may be a replacement. I have not seen any other Orst. visor with this type of sweatband before, what do you guys think? To me it looks rather new and a bit out of place. I might be interested in buying if it turns out to be fine
The blue piping seems really faded but I think that's because of the lighting in the photos.

Your suspicions are probably correct. Fewegla used cheap paper sweatbands for their wartime PL caps, so probably a replacement.
The attachment looks well done, so it might be period.

Thank you for your input. That's a pity, it looks fantastic otherwise. That may not bother many, but I want visors to be untouched!
I will be sticking to army caps, still waiting to get a nice cavalry officers one.
