Hmmm, on the one hand its moth-bitten, on the other hand its an early ErEl with a sweat diamond I've never seen before. € 200,- seems hefty, compared to other Reichspost caps which cost more (although in better condition) the deal doesn't seem too bad. Better wait for the Reichspost specialists' opinions whether its worth this price.

I’ve decided to give this one a pass in the end. I just felt if one were to purchase one like this it would be worth paying extra for one in better condition.
Are these supposed to have The chinstrap? Passing on this one at 200 euros is the right move. There is a much nicer one at Ratisbon auction. It ends in a few days and it has gotten the 150 Euro opening bid.
Seen, definitely a much nicer one & probably won’t be too expensive even allowing for commission. Some nice visor caps on there, although I’m mindful that they could get lots of bids still.
I’m leaning towards getting an infantry cap as my 1st German WWII cap. But I’m trying to find one for about €500 - €600, easier said than done. I’ve posted one on the cap authentication forum that I’m interested in.
