The cap is for an officer in the NS-RKB (NS-Reich Krieger Bund) this was a WWI Veterans organization.
but the caps piping is white not silver?
Not Soldatenbund--it is actually EM/NCO Bahnschutz with incorrect insignia.
“Show me the regulation, and I’ll show you the exception.”
that sounds good do you have a picture of a bahnschutz cap like this in original?
and thanks for your comments on all that posts by the way
See here (you have to scroll down): Identification of this officer's cap?
I got caught with the one in this thread and I still wonder - piping colour of your cap is white? centerband is velvet? Use the custom seartch field and look for yourself, there are quite some examples for Bahnschutz there.
perfect got it,
will look out for the wright eagle and complete it
What I meant was, first check whether the centerband is velvet and if there were different insignia on the cap - perhaps these were on it from the beginning, then I'd leave it as it is - you never know if it wasn't originally used as Soldatenbund because the vendor didn't have the correct cap/didn't know about regulations.
know what you mean
thanks
