It's taken me 9 months to find a suitable removed bevo skull for my SS Schiffchen. I have not seen one for sale in this whole time so I jumped on this as soon as I saw it. I certainly feel I overpaid but the laws of supply and demand left me no choice. Since I got such a good deal on the cap I justified paying extra for the skull. I'll post it in more detail when it arrives and then I'll start figuring out how to sew this on properly. Stay tuned for more...

Thats a beautiful skull Al, I'm really happy that you found one and who cares about the price! The end result will be well worth it

Thanks John! That's what my wife said "Not" LOL

Hi, question: The eagle is foreign produced as well? The non standard use by foreign volunteers can be difficult to trace back to a single country.
Other than that, nice issue quality cap it seems. Some period thread and good to go!

I agree, impossible to trace to a particular country. As for the eagle, that would be another question for Carlsson who identified it for me.

Aldo.
This photo , is my suprise to you.
I know, very difficult to find a photos SS Helferinnen. Maybe You need and all colleagues too )))
Beautiful girl with the same Schiffchen
Regards to all )))
What is this cross on her neck? Maybe it helps to define the country?

Yes, thank you. A nice picture indeed. That cross looks Finnish in nature and so does that girl.
-
This girl is indeed Finnish, from the Lotta Svard.
I believe that the cap here has been borrowed for the photo from a soldier as the cap worn by these helpers was more like a "ski cap" in design.
