    Hello Gentlemen,

recently I bought this cap for very little money on german eBay.

The cap itself is blue with a silvery blue piping and has two RZM stamped Buttons on the front.

The leather sweatband is marked with "QUALITÄTS MARKE" (quality brand)

On the reverse of the sweatband is written the Name Konrad Führer , Frielendorf (a small town in Hessia)

I just bought it because it looks old and it was priced very low.
I've tryed to research the name but it seems that there were some Konrad Führers in the general Region.

Did someone ever see such a cap?

Are the rzm Buttons a giveavay that the cap is from a wartime production or is it possible the buttons were used post war?

    Any oppinion is highly appreciated!

Thanks for taking your Time to read!

    Greetings from northern Germany!

Looks like a DAF overseas cap with no eagle. I think the Officer's version had a silver piping. You can also look for remnants or stitching outline of a removed RZM tag

Thanks a Lot for your reply Aldo!
The Cap youve shown really looks very similar to mine!
As soon as I'm home I'm going to look for remnants of a rzm Tag.
I've never seen such a blue silvery piping as on my cap, I will research DAF officer caps tonight.
I guess the 1 € plus shipping was not too much for the cap.
If someone has a picture of a DAF officer cap, please share it with me.
Further thoughts on the cap are welcome!
Thanks again and greetings from northern Germany!

It really seems to be a DAF leaders cap, I've found a similar one on the web.

Many Thanks to Aldo for pointing me to the right Direction!

I still have one question. Did These caps ever have rzm tags applied or were they also locally produced without such a Tag?

I will have a look at my cap to see weather there are remnants of it visible.

    I'm so happy right now!

I just took a look at the interior of the cap and I discovered traces of the stiching from the RZM tag.

On the front is a very weak shadow of an eagle visible, but you can not see it very good.

    Thanks again guys!

It's definetly a DAF Werkschar Schiffchen für Orts-Level (note the bright blue piping). Eagle is missing.

Liners Backside shows handwritten Name of the owner. 'Konrad Fuehrer'; unfortunately I can't read the Location.

Oh, okay, ich sehe gerade, Du bist Deutscher. Hatte den Eingangstext nicht zu Ende gelesen, daher wusste ich nicht, dass Du den Namen und den Ort lesen konntest./Oh, okay, I just see you're German. I didn't finish reading the introductory text, so I didn't realize you could read the name and location.

Vielen Dank for your reply NSDAPSammler!
Frielendorf, Hessia is also the place where the parcel with the cap came from, so it most likely never left this place for the last 78 years.
Now it resides in northern Germany together with its Happy new owner ;-)
