Narcis, good eye--and the cockade is West German. Still pretty good for 1985. It was a made-for-TV movie starring Bill Nighy and John Shea--very well done, with good uniforms and a good story.
It was broadcase on NBC over 2 nights, but they have never released the full version on DVD (and the quality of the abridged version is poor to say the least).
The broadcasting of this movie and a couple of others at the same dealing with WW2/nazis had the press apoplectic that year.

Niven's missing shoulder boards from his GoN SS uniform bothers me to this day......
No one seems to have listed this gem from 1979. A guilty pleasure of mine. George P. Cosmatos directed this film set in the Greek isles during the German occupation. If you overlook the presence of Sonny Bono, it's actually not a bad movie (sorry Sonny). Well, it's not bad until the SS Spacemen show up at the end of the film to launch their mini V-2 rocket against the Allied invasion fleet.
Blumentarn?
Damn, Narcis, you find some obscure flicks....
