yes so right, back in 1950 our set had 3 channels 6-10 & 12. and at 8 o'clock at night it played the NATIONAL ANTHEM, and the PEACOCK TEST PATTERN came on and it shut off. BYW- the set that we had was only a 12 inch screen. and there weren't any remotes, you had to get up off of the couch to change the channel. any one remember thoes days?
