Great looking cap which the Cap Gents will comment further on it...but just for some knowledge ..Unlike the SA SS HJ and NSKK the German Army were not a political functionary of the Third Reich and were not Nazis.
One had to be a party member with a party number to be a National Socialist " Nazi " which not all of the Political branch members I named above had party numbers. Just a Tid bit of info that many mistake these artifacts because of the swastika being Nazi.
Welcome to the forum.

Thank you Larry, that’s really great information. Something I actually had wondered. So the soldiers within the German Army would have had their own opinions I’m sure & it is unfair to use the term Nazi in the broader sense. Soldiers are trained to simply carry out orders after all.
And I have seen different versions of Nazi Party badges numbered to the back as well. It is a good point though to separate the Political Party from those simply serving the state & carrying out duties.

The cap is a Kornacker with a replaced sweatband - Kornacker sweatbands often were made of Ersatzmaterial and tend to disintegrate.

Cap is in average-poor condition. What is the dealer asking for it?
“Show me the regulation, and I’ll show you the exception.”

$595 plus postage & packing, then to EU there would be customs. It’s for sale at a dealers called The Civil War Shop if anyone wants to buy it.

Stonemint, I would buy that. Who is selling that one? It’s a good example.

Has anyone else seen that cap for sale that Stonemint posted. I can’t find it anywhere. And no reply from Stonemint.
