Zentralhandelsgesellschaft Ost
In about a few weeks my written article about the Zentralhandelsgesellschaft Ost
will be available from Bender Publishing in the "Military Advisor".
The article gives information about structures, the uniform and above all the great
looking visored cap (from the Sack-collection). For the article I was for example assisted
by Stéphane Pauli from France.
The ZO is quite an unknown and obscure organization and some material one can
find here at the War Relics Forum.

I noticed a ZO cap in post # 40 of the recent S.O.S. thread:

Is that the same one?

Sorry I said: Yes, it is the Paul Sack cap, but I do not know if mr. Sack offered his
cap at the SOS. I did not ask him when I last have mailed him. I can, if needed for
you all convenience!
As far as I know the front view is upon the cover and a side and inner view in the article,
plus three close-ups or so. Further shown about 12 uniform and insignia photos and
some clippings from an order and a map where the ZO was active.
After the cap article was ready in lay-out and send to the printers, I was informed
about at least one other such cap.

Which one is the zo
I took the pics - Which one is the ZO? Is it the Eastern Peoples brown looking one?

This one:
You can see such cap on the second from left Military Advisor with NEW from post 3!
I was infomermed by mr. Sack that he had the cap at the SOS simply for showing.
For a moment I thought three such caps were known, but is is just two of them!

Thats an interesting cap.

There were several pictures of Paul Sack's items included in the coverage of the recent show. He is a colleague of mine, and I have the utmost respect for him.
Thanks to Wim for writing an article about such an important item.

This item, for instance, is the property of Paul Sack.

Paul just told me that the other year he had about 40 rare caps on his table,
just for showing. This is what he said:
I brought two floor cases filled with the rarest caps I owned. White top SS general,
Teno generals. Simply to display. Perhaps 3 people stopped to look. I've never
understood and still don't.
This says enough about the knowledge of over 90% of the collectors. Most
have no idea, but do not even buy a book or subscribe to a magazine to
"gulp down" information. In my opinion such persons should not ask
on forums, nor should be given a proper answer! And when a proper answer
is given, they do not have the decency to say "thanks".
Sorry, this is just my opinion.
