2019 My Best Year in Collecting
I've been collecting for roughly 20 years but really got serious when I discovered this forum 10 years ago. I have learned a lot and met many great people on this forum. The opportunity to share my passion for collecting with like minded people has been a true pleasure. Last year I resolved to focus on my Totenkopf collection for 2019. To my surprise I surpassed my goals on my skulls and still managed to pick up some items for the other aspects of my collection. This has been my best year in collecting to date. Going forward I am going to attempt to acquire some quality SS headgear if possible. It's going to require great restraint in not buying other items of interest in order to save my funds for the big ticket item. Truth be told, I'd be happy if I could acquire even one early SS cap with a Danziger badge.
Best Regards, Al
I manged to collect 13 varieties of Deschler skulls in CupAl and aluminium including some rare early types. I also picked up 4 Overhoff skulls, 3 Zimmermann's, 1 Late War Assmann and a couple of eagles. Here is a collage of the group and a link to the ongoing thread of the collection.

Hello mate. You should relax a little in 2020 .... Otherwise you will not have a place at home to save your collection !!
Seriously, Al. It seems to have been a good year of collecting.
I agree, I thank my lovely wife who has not thrown me out of the house for spending like a drunken sailor. I think she is sympathetic to my cause because my mother in law lives with us, and that alone warrants receiving the Nobel peace prize for putting up with her.
