German 16th century "black and white" home town guard helmets

I went to fetch the lot I recently won at a auction, deep down in France.
So here are the pic's.
As I was that far and the weather was bad in the north I went further down to Portugal.
So the pictures are the best I have for the moment.
I tried to enchance them by erasing the supports I used to take the pic's, but that didn't work well...

That's a nice Morion Kris. I have a Morion-Cabasset arriving this week too! Lovely bike, but I doubt that my knackered hips would allow me to get astride of anything like that!

There was a transitional model / morion- cabasset among this lot too.
I still have to take it's picture.

It's only plain, with a row of brass rosettes around the rim. The metal is heavily stained and there are (old) solder repairs on the inside. I should have it by the end of the week.

I didn't ride for 7 WHOLE years ...since the new laws in Belgium; boots, longsleeves, etc...
But here down south, free as a bird again....no strict regulations, back on my flip flops on the bike! ;-)
And during those seven years of not riding the bike , my wife was one having the most troubles with it....
Anyway I am glad I left Belgium.
