Default Historicaly important IRISH EASTER UPRISING MEDAL GROUP rare Officially Named GROUP to G.P.O recipiant.

Only just got this gem so wished to show it off.

The group belonged to PATRICK J McGRATH (senior) confirned on the 1966 Roll of Honour, information compiled by the department of defence relating to the recipients of the 1916 medal, the Roll of Honour compiled in 1936 and presented to President de Valera .

confirmed on the roll at the General Post Office, O’Connell Street

Two 1935 armbands presented by President de Valera to surviving Vets of the easter uprising. both correct and retaining original labels " Bergins real irish poplin"

    EASTER UPRISING MEDAL.

    correct ribbon.
upper suspension bar first type , smaller than later issue , pin to rear near end as correct ,correct text book curvature to suspention bar which ribbon hangs.
Correct ribbon, early type point towards end , correct weave,
    medal die struck bronze .
Both medals as OFFICIALLY NAMED TO NEXT OF KIN, believe only some 1080 Comrac medals officially named. and the easter uprising medal approx. 200 or so officially named.
