Hi, i will be creating a new display, this time a british one.
I love tropical and jungle uniforms and gear.
And have already bought a tunic and shorts off the collectors guild.

The uniform i have bought.
Aertex example and both pieces are dated.
Hello Nuno-if you're modelling Australian troops in the jungle, they wore a mixture of US, British and Australian equipment, often altered in the field to be more practical such as cut down US gaiters/leggings-the 'slouch hat' (Hat Khaki Fur Felt-KFF) was replaced by a cheaper to make cloth beret later in the war for tropical wear.
All the best with your new project!
Great stuff Nuno, the above uniforms in the pictures look very familiar from here in Oz!
Thanks for the replys fella`s.
Im currently looking at a british bush hat, suspenders, belt, bren gun pouches and boots.
Simple and fantastic to look at.
What are your thoughts?
some of the stuff ive came across here. im always seeing RAAF tunics for sale.Attachment 410049Attachment 410063like the stuff you have just got .would like to see how it all looks when you get going
Sounds a great idea and I look forward to seeing it evolve. The black rank pip on the shirt suggests he was in a rifle regiment.
Regards,
Jerry
Whatever its just an opinion.
Hi, my uniform has arrived.
Just have to pick it up at the post office.
Last night i was watching "Bridge on the river Kwai" and i really enjoyed seeing them using the same type of uniform.
Cheers.
Nuno
