Had a bit of spare shed time ( now that I've retired ) and started to look at a few relics that I've amassed over the years and started to wonder .......

Anyway, this is what an old hubcap, a shell-holed feldflasche, some ( alleged) German barb wire and a splintered helmet can look like as a desk lamp!!!!

Mind you, the missus doesn't think it fits in with our decor ....... sigh, another item destined for the study...

    A beautiful creation my friend!

It's a shame your better half doesn't want it out with the main decor, but I'm sure it will look great in the study.

Thanks Jarret - she's put up with all my other faults for the last 35 years so she's not too bad

Thanks Andrew, it was either that or a rusted gas mask kanister but that looked too bulky IMO

    Fantastic Dan.

I've been looking for a relic like this for years to add to a trench art lamp made out of a shell casing I have. Just they cost more than the lamp is worth
"Please", Thank You" and proper manners appreciated

The helmet has a faux paint job ( someone else did ) so it isnt worth much and the rest owes me about $20
