Luke is referring to 1 / schwere Panzer Abteilung 503 , in English this is the 1st Company , Heavy Tank Battalion 503.

Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader

oh, "I./" is mean 1st company?
Thank you for answer Paul!
I've posted these elsewhere, but thought you guys might enjoy them too. I don't actively collect autographs, but I'm a voracious reader and at times the planets have aligned to where I've had books in the presence of their authors or have acquired an autographed book. Here's a few autographed books. I'll have to do some digging and see if I can't find some others....I've got more.

Vietnam War...
1LT Lewis B. Puller, USMC originally given to my brother. Lew Puller was the son of "Chesty" Puller, and a USMC lieutenant grievously wounded in Vietnam.
COL Jimmie Butler, 23TASS (call sign "NAIL 12", re:, CAPT Lee D. Harley, 23TASS, call sign "GOMBEY 19" 18 May 1966 KIA/BNR. I have a family attachment to the story of Capt. Harley.)
Here's Captain Harley, now. His "backseater", A1C Andre Guillet, is one name to the left.
COL Wesley Fox, USMC, Medal of Honor recipient
Some of America's secret warriors, Robert Wallace and H. Keith Melton, CIA retired.
Not exactly veterans' autographs, but close...
