That is a very fine collection Aldo. Thank you for sharing. I have yet to add one to my collection for fear of buying a fake.

My pleasure John. I enjoy photographing them for the forum. It gives me a reason to take them all out of their cases and arrange them in different ways.
Thanks, Al
Not an area a novice should venture into without advice as mistakes are expensive. But for those who study in depth the subject like Aldo has, it brings expertise, and that in any hobby is highly satisfying.
Great group of TK's, as stated above not a item for the faint of heart.
And a great reference thread, for this most copied of TR collectables.
Thank you gentlemen. It’s no secret that I only started collecting these last year and I confess I knew nothing about them. I was initially inspired by all those fantastic images posted by our colleagues Friedrich-Berthold, carlsson1982 and Robin Lumsden just to name a few. Now there are numerous other members posting fantastic finds. I depend on the knowledge and images posted by my fellow forum members to educate myself. There is no shortcut, you have to visually examine hundreds of images until they become familiar to you. Also once you have one in hand, the game changes and now you are familiar with them on a whole different level. I also only buy from trusted dealers or knowledgeable friends. It’s tough to vet these on the forum because they sell almost instantly after being listed. You have to be quick and sure of yourself. Thanks to everyone who has participated on my skull threads; you have all been very helpful.
