    Hello folks.

Doing some tidying up of the collection room today, and I realised something that probably should have occurred to me sooner. It seems that Home Front gas mask canisters serve a very useful purpose besides the one they were designed for...

I simply stuffed the inside of the helmets with a nest of tissue paper, and stood them on top of the canisters. A makeshift display method that supports the liner. Hopefully this inspires and helps others with Home Front collections.

That's a very nice looking Zuckerman. I've thought about displaying masks in the same way, but most of the civilian respirators I have don't seem to like being exposed to the light and open air. If I leave them on a shelf, they start to perish.

I thought about using my 18-Pounder casing for the exact same purpose, but I didn't think it would suit the Home Front theme. The gas mask carriers have the bonus of not only being Home Front themed, but part of the collection itself. A nice way to display helmets without having to introduce anything modern.
