I'm not a buckle guy at all but I find the forum search function a great way to research, learn and form opinions.
Compare to these examples. I see lots of differences.

I think the buckle is original. It has the markings stamped backwards. Here is a couple I have. One has stamped markings the other has raised markings.
I would agree original buckle the markings are a bit strange to me lettering a but unusual, strange one!!!

I like the buckle too, nice original. Here is a pic of my DJ from Friedrich Linden, Ludenscheid. Also has the maker stamp upside down, and the catch is like the DAF shown here.
