I picked up a Krebs Marked Dagger Luftwaffe Model 2. It was not in great shape as it had been partially denazified, the grip has a huge crack. Only the scabbard, pommel nut and blade were in good shape. Take a look tell me what you guys think! Regards,

    Current reproduction.
Probably the whole dagger is. Best to post photos of the rest of it.

No offense Ralph but I am 100% sure it's all authentic - my question wax should I make it into a parts dagger or leave it unmolested? I have a pretty decent collection and though new to this site I am an experienced collector.

None taken but, still not the quality of Damascus that I would expect to see from the TR period.

I get perplexed sometimes when I read these threads looking for thoughts and opinions and then makes a left turn contradicting a reply for which the OP asked for opinions in the first place.
With all due respect Matt and welcome to the forum by the way ..... what has attracted you to this beaten down 2nd Luft that you want to add into your collection..which I would not call this example anywhere decent in the condition its in.

Are these fittings consistent with Peter Daniel Krebs ?

Sorry to butt in here but I have to agree with Larry....... a definite copy blade with some original bits thrown in for good measure....... I know.......let's de nazify the eagle to make it look convincing????

No offence, but just because you have a big collection doesn't prove a thing.

    Happy New Year 😁

Wow some "experts" and ever so friendly as well. As to what attracted me to this dagger was the DMW Luger with bring back paper work I bought with it for $500. I paid a whopping $125 for the dagger so I got scammed good I guess, definitely worth the denazifying to a legit eagle they did...lol. Apparently you guy couldn't spot a real dagger to save your lives. This dagger is 100% AUTHENTIC. Regardless of your opinion its going into my sizeable collection. Good god you guys are not experts. Craig Gottlieb is selling an identical dagger, same fittings and all.
