What do you think about this knife. I’m almost ready to buy it, but I’m a little confused by the scabbard.

Scabbard does look odd, short spring clip and rivets not on either side as usually seen.

Don’t you think that the spring clip is self-made?

It is a correct, original, pattern of scabbard for a boot knife.
Not sure if they have always been together or not.
