    Scabbard does look odd, short spring clip and rivets not on either side as usually seen.

    Don’t you think that the spring clip is self-made?

    here is almost the same scabbard - end of the thread

    It is a correct, original, pattern of scabbard for a boot knife.
    Not sure if they have always been together or not.
