My new DRK hewer

Article about: My new hewer, all I need now is a visor cap and my DRK uniform will be complete. I picked this up pretty cheap on ebay. I'm pretty happy with it. Any opinions would be most welcome. Thanks.

    Nice Todd!
    Mine has been posted here.
DRK Hewer, new to my collection.
From what I learned from Gerrit, I would guess that yours is also a Klaas as it has two side screws on the bottom scabbard fitting.

Thanks Ralph, yours is very nice as well. I sort of fell into a DRK tunic on the cheap, and now its just totally spiraled out of control with trying to complete it, so I feel you on your need to be a completest with your edged weapons collection. Cheers.

Welcome to the DRK Hewer owners club, I see these often on ebay, a very undervalued and under appreciated edged weapon IMO they are pretty massive and gnarly looking. Good luck completing the set.
A side note if you plan on hunting down the proper portapee they alone cost as much as the Hewer!

Thanks. I did always like them, even before I started putting the tunic set together. I didn't even think about the portapee, but I guess I'll have to get one eventually.

Nice example. I agree and have been saying for years these are under rated. A good buy.

    Cheers, Ade.
