is that the Red Cross Dagger or Social Welfare ??? Round Holes as opposed to Rectangular as we are led to believe.
What ever it's a cracking piece , but with the Social Welfare Hangers.

I agree Steve ...What Kirk has posted is the rarer Social Welfare dagger ..and the only visible discerning detail is the hanger holes are round on this type as seen on Kirks example and square holes on the Red Cross leader type.
If someone could post comparative photos in this thread for me..it would be appreciated. Im presently at work and the system here is a bit more involved to navigate through.

Incase people are wondering, most Red Cross officers I have found and recorded have the Klaas style eagle but a very small number of them have a PDL style rundle and do have a slightly different scabbard holes.
The opposite with the Social Welfare with most of them being a PDL style rundle and a very small number being Klaas style and once again these having a slightly different scabbard so it is not a case of the wrong dagger in the scabbard.
There is a theory that with officers there might have been a third manufacture but there has been no way to confirm. I have been unable to find a version of a Officers with a round shouldered eagle though.
