Research books for Edged Weapons
I see John Angolias name mentioned often with regards reference and research material in relation to knives, daggers, swords etc and wondered if his books are still the best to use given that they were published in the 70s.
Should I go for one of his books or are there more modern/up-to-date publications that would be more beneficial?
Thanks
Jamie

Not sure on his Dagger books , but his work on SS cloth has been shown to contain many mistakes .
I'm sure you can get an answer around here .

Thomas Wittman ..is a great beginning point for the novice and intermediate ..he has references that covers
Heer ,Luftwaffe, kriegsmarine and SS.
Wittmann Antique Militaria
Ralf Siegerts Pictorial reference including HJ and NPEA ,SA ,SS ,Heer, Luftwaffe, Kriegsmarine
Tom Johnson's rudimentary beginnings in the hobby includes 8 volumes on every edged type
WRFs own 2 members Gerrit and dr73 Danny up to date and detailed Heer reference.
Others will chime in with other authored references .
