nice find.
Ghost always there with no doubt ;-)
I have no idea what it is but I like it nevertheless... it reeks of history and years passed! Seems like the moths have been enjoying that right arm though...
moths or battle damage?
well it is hard to say but may be both ways
Rodent and moth damage. No blood stains if battle damaged. But a nice curiosity.
Cheers, Ade.

The tunic in question is for a late war police rifle brigade. As the war turned against Germany many of the police units with "additonal capacity" were cut down and the excess men used to form these "rifle brigades". All the insignia is correct as is the tunic.
See below:
The above insignia set is for such a unit. It is from my collection. If you want to find correct shoulderboards it will NOT be easy. They are just like regular police boards but they are subdued like the picture above. All of the "silver" look to the police boards is gone and they look grey instead.
Very cool tunic as not many survived. This one barely made it.
If you need more info, feel free to ask.
