I believe this is a Locomotive data plate from Skoda Werke in Pilsen 1942.

Over 7794 DRB Class 52 locomotives were built across Europe for use on the Eastern Front during the 2nd World War.
Skodawerke produed 153 Kriegslokomotive (War Locomotive) BR52s for the Wehrmacht in 1942.
At the time of manufacture, Skoda was under the control of Reichswerke Hermann Goring.

    The data plate is marked:

    Aktiengesellschaft (Joint stock company)
    Vormals (Known as)
    Skodawerke (Skoda Works)
    In Pilsen (city in Czechoslovakia)
    No 1288 1942

Looks good - the official length of the Reichsbahn designation was 60,0cm so 600 mm would be right on. check Wilhelm Saris book on reichsbahn eagles it has lots of info relative to these designations also.
    Nice catch/display.

On mine, there is 30mm and the original sign plan from 1924 is 16mm. My sign is 100mm x 600mm as the 1924 version but I don't know the reason or the period my sign was manufactured since there are no date markings.

Photo from Third Reich Reichsbahn Eagles by Wilhelm Saris. And incredible resource!
