Never seen anything like it!
Kind of buckle only its mother could love. No idea, concede to the koppelschloss meistern.
A strange one Yuri, i will have to look in my archives, I dont recall seeing one with a Swaz in the cross? but the buckle its self in make up looks period!
Ben
Ben, I met such buckles in the network, but I can't remember on what forum. Someone they relate to medicine, someone to samaritanism, as I recall. But were there any ?
I know another one from this collection : EM BUCKLES 3344 - Stolen Items World War II
But the stripes goes the other way.
Angolia shows one on page 493 of his revised edition. It is described as a Worker's Samaritan buckle. That buckle from John Wald's collection sold at Hermans Historica 3-4 years ago. This buckle sold at Ratisbon auction a year or two ago.
This one William Kramer posted on WAF. Bill X had one in his collection. It seems they used a bunch of different boxes to produce these.
Thank You Kirby
