Hi, i want to share with you, something special.
Its an handmade tropical hat, made for my father by a servent of my parents.
It was made in 1961, right in the begining of the war in Angola.
He kept it until today.
Cheers.

In 1959 he was a Commissaire de Territoire* at Lisala (Congo).
Those uniforms are very hard to find, I have been looking for years now!
After the troubles of 1960 he got back with me and my Mum, but no uniform thise time, the pith helmet was also abolished!!
From that time he and we did nearly every land under the equator from the west coast to the east coast.
*commissaire de territoire at the time of Belgian Congo is a police officer, but also a military officer and a judge at the same time for minor crimes.
Did you find them?
Haha! ;-)
Here is one;
Belgian Public Weermacht (that is not the one my father should have had!!)
