German Shipping Rate Changes

Has anyone else seen this? Germany is now charging 36 euro for any package shipped outside the EU (or 16 with no tracking). Really puts a kink in foreign collectors...smalls are barely worth it now with the added shipping price, I've already run into three sellers who stopped shipping to the US because of these fee changes

Does this also apply to private couriers? That's a terrible rate anyway. It's much cheaper from the US to the UK. Also what if you post the item to a country in the EU which sends it to your countries. Surely that is a loophole.

Costs me about 36$ for shipping overseas, which I why I don't.

Costs me $14 to send a 1st class parcel to Europe with tracking...a lot of German sellers are going to take a hit from this on their smalls
