Hi, vacation time coming up, and we are off to germany again.
We will be stopping by hamburg for a couple of days, going to weitze to buy a few more items for the collection.
Driving to kiel to visit the U-boat, and we are still planning what to visit more.

Get some good shots of the boat. I do have a few "shortcuts" for you, if you are interested - if you go there on a certain time in the day (early, they open at 10 am, I think - and you can pay the entrance fee in two ways, - one will get you onboard earlier, which is good to know), you can almost have the boat all to yourselves
The fee is about 5 Euros for entrance to U 995 and you can get a combined ticket for u 995 and museum for about 7 Euros. Have in mind, that when you enter the boat, there will, depending on what time of the day, be a line behind you, so you cannot turn around and go back, you will have to pay again and enter again. That is why it is so recommendable to come there before 10

One thing i can forget about visiting, are the kilian u boat bunkers.
Have been completely demolished.
