I have Stalingrad, Berlin, Crete, and D-Day ( 2 copies of D-Day actually, if anyone doesn't have it and wants to start with Beevor drop me a PM and I'll send you it for the cost of postage.) and have read them all at least twice. One of my favourite authors by far. Crete was very worthwhile, much less is written about that than other more 'popular' subjects like D-Day etc. I do have a strange soft spot for plucky British defeats too.... I think we do defeat better than anyone else (Happily not very often though).

With the release of Beevor's Bulge Book looming up ( will it have anything new to add ? ) I called in at one of my favourite bookshops last week, noticed the sign and jumped at getting a ticket......
