Hello,
So i was watching a few shows on tv looking around the internet about the early days or nsdap and i found out an interesting piece of info.
The judge at Hitlers 1924 trial was Georg Neithardt.
Being known in history for his easy lenient stance on the trial with Hitler being in prison for little over eight months even in todays sentences an extremely light sentence for a coup.
This is where it gets more interesting, Georg Neithardt was the judge in a small trial Hitler faced previously in the early days of the Nsdap where his brown shirts raided a left wing party confrence and assulted many members.( not sure if any got killed) Hitler faced trial for these events due to the fact he was in command of his brown shirts. ( something him and his party tried to hide once they came to power.)
The court and Mr Neithardt didnt really symothise with the left wing communist party as they and the goverment disliked the left and would not want the right to grow weak so i think in the trial gave a small fine.
Intresting to know that the same bias judge was at two trials for Hitler and even wrote to higher powers to give Hitler less punishment then he had dished. So the common phrase you hear of it being a show trial where Hitler hypnotized new followers and made a joke of the trial really does grow even stronger when you think the whole time what ever Hitler would of said in the trial,he was going to get a slap on the wrist at the end of the day.
Its amazing what small new things you learn in history everytime you look into events in more details.
