As a collector i like to try and find items that most people wouldn't have in their collections or wouldn't think to add to a collection and i wonder if any of you have any special little items you enjoy that perhaps most collectors wouldn't own.

Whatever its just an opinion.
i like obscure allied units the ones that were needed but taken for granted example the royal canadian dental corp, the royal canadian forestry corp etc
I like anything weird. Military marked dental equipment, Apple corer with a crows foot on, 1942 dated hair clippers. Like you say, anything obscure and taken for granted..... oh, got a bottle of beer from some SAS function.
I like the R.N.P. Items (Rassemblement national populaire).
But very hard to find.

I have a small collection of Lotta Svärd items but I'm not sure if that is obscure enough. I also have some humorous WW2 Finnish postcards.
As well I have a small collection of prewar Czech medals... I would like to collect Czech Legion militaria but haven't really pursued it.
I don't want to fragment my primary areas of collecting too much... Only so much resources to go around!
toothbrush, WD arrow marked and dated 1941 Got two of these from the same USAAF dump
