It's a terrible situation and it will not get better but I think the Taliban already have all the best stuff abandonned by the ANA etc so they are unlikley to be too interested in this detritus of panic but what is disturbing is that it will all end up circulating in a country rapidly descending into even greater chaos and turmoil!

Not to provoke political discourse but I am somewhat depressed by the effort made by our troops now seems to have been wasted for the sake of political expediency.

As I say I don't want a political debate I am just expressing my sadness at the now seemingly pointless loss of our brave men and women.

If they captured ICBM’s I’d be concerned, they country is awash with guns and has been since the 80’s.

C-130H(NZ) Hercules | NZDF
I was 2 years old in 1970 living at Whenuapai in Auckland NZ where that aircraft is based and it and I were new.
Dad was flight crew on them in 40 Squadron at that time.
I know one of those very few NZ C 130's also went to Rwanda in 1994 and even then I was amazed.
Hope the link works(It didn't on the preview)
anyway the aircraft is 1969 delivery,with recent upgrades so I expect I was only seeing the present airframe in the sky back then.

Ahh cheers Andrew Mate, really nice to show the link with part it's history.
I remember back in the 80's or 90's there were three of them RAAF at PT Cook about to be moth balled, all VN vets. Nice to see the Old girl still in active service.
