If the movie is accurate...and our friends at Wiki suggest it is, the treatment of those lads by their own country was disgraceful......until 2005.

Good film, a war film not about the usual conflicts, can’t beat variety. Shocking treatment indeed but unfortunately, as well as know, that’s happened time and time again for soldiers of most countries by their higher ups and politicians. Poor from the UN too. But anyway, I’ll refrain from politics.

Overall, a good war film I found. Incredibly bravery. A friend of mine’s relative flew transport planes during the Congo Crisis and at the same time as Jadotville (to Elizabethville I think) from what I remember him telling me.
