Guten Tag, Bonjour, G'day!
I guess since I got some people miffed at me with my first post, I ought to introduce myself a little. When I got out of high school, I spent six years in the USN. When that hitch was up, I became a Marine, and retired out of the Corps as a SSGT in 1999. I worked as a police officer for a few years before I moved to Michigan, where I now work in a jail.
Franz Repper has known me for a while as a fellow Nord researcher. I think I recognize at least one other person here from elsewhere. I also belong to Feldgrau, Axis History, and World War Two Zone forums.
I'm not a collector. I never got caught up in it when I was single. Now I'm older, married with a family, and I work for the country, so I can't afford the good stuff! Hell, right now, I'd have trouble buying repro stuff! That's one of the reasons I haven't actively gotten into reenacting Nord!
I joined up in order to get information. Seeing the stuff that has been dug out of Karelia is fascinating to me. Reading the words of the people who have visited there, seeing photos of the area, brings it all to life. I appreciate it. Especially since getting there to join in is virtually impossible!
Thanks, and I'll try not to piss off too many people in the future!
