I have been MIA on hunting this year and last year. Maybe some of Dad’s bear jerky and sausage

Perhaps the way the deer was photographed, with you in the background, made it appear bigger. A friend shot a buck in Ohio just over 200 pounds last year, and from your photo, I would have guessed yours was as big. It is still impressive, and the bear too.

Just busting. I'm planning my hunting weekend for mid Nov. Hopefully I'll get lucky and get one to make some jerky myself.

That said, as I get older I tend to do more of the camp cooking than hunting!!! LoL
