Default Passing of Hershel “Woody” Williams

Today ,with the deepest regrets, the passing of Woody Williams was announced. Mr Williams was the last surviving Medal of Honor recipient of WWII. He received the MOH for actions during the battle of Iwo Jima. I had the great honor of meeting this humble hero and speak candidly with him. A true American hero. He will be greatly missed.

A hero becomes a legend. He's with his brothers in arms now, wherever they may be. May he rest in peace.

    And when he get's to Heaven's Gate's,
To Saint Peter he will tell,
    Another Marine reporting Sir,
I've served my time in Hell!

    Semper Fidelis Sir!
