Here is what I mean by the above post...

I hope that Dan doesn't mind me showing this picture that I sent to him, after picking up a Wasserkanister recently. I asked Dan to send me a random word by e-mail, Dan replied "Hi"...

1. Ask for an additional image of the item, with a small piece of paper next to it with a random word written on it. Sounds strange perhaps, but if they don't reply, then you know for sure that they don't have the item in hand. I personally have done this without request, before selling items to people, as for me its a trust issue, and I want folk to know that I am genuine...unlike some others who are a blight on our wonderful hobby.

Happy to help chaps, spread the word! I fear this guy makes 'good' money from this scam though, he is very prolific. It is likely more than one person, but the method remains unchanged.

Very well done indeed mate! I hope some new collectors will read your post and that it's a sticky. Did not notice This should be "auto sent" to all new users signing up. I have my own way of dealing with the likes of P N. I NEVER buy from people i don't know or people/dealers not trusted by colleagues. Except the basha i bought from you back then I might loose some good deals on this strategy though.
