Summer vacation thread

What are the plans for the summer vacation? Are you going to visit some ww1/ww2 related place? If so, dont hesitate and tell us about is in this thread.

This summer vacation i'm going to visit the folowing places:

1st week:

- Verdun

- Ieper

2nd week

- North-Germany (Kiel Area)

3rd week

- Seelower Höhen (Berlin Area)
- East-Poland (Ostwall etc.)

4rd week & 5th week

- South-East Poland (Kielce area and Krakow)

6th week

- Normandie

All of them are ww1/ww2 related.

My vacation is going to militaria shows across the USA and buying goodies.

I have taken my Summer Vacation already and I travelled through Germany and up to Bastogne, Belgium last March. What a sight to see! I was in the Bois Jacques and witnessed the foxholes dug by the 506th P.I.R.. Here are some pictures. Enjoy!

i don't remember 6 weeks vacation since I was at high school ...

My plan for this summer is

1 week in South Tirol to relax on the Alps, visiting WW1 museums and hiking

1 week in south Slovenia, in the land of the bears, to hike and relax. Possibly visit a secret base from WW2 if I can arrange that

Lovely north eastern US city.
Folks are very friendly and lots of relic shops.
