    Hello friends, next August 4 I will travel to Bavaria with wifey and son.

    We will spend seven days in Munich staying in a central hotel, although we will move to Nuremberg and perhaps Regensburg.

    We can't wait to be able to travel again after these last two hard years and visit historical places.

    The reason for this post is to ask the members of the Forum if anyone knows of a place in Munich where I can buy militaria from the Kaiser's Germany.

    Too bad my good friend Andreas HPL2008 left the forum....

    Any information will be appreciated and I trust in mid-August to use this thread to upload images of places related to the History of WWII that we are so passionate about.

    I was there with my family for a week 4 or 5 years ago. It was a fantastic trip. Dachau is a short train ride away as well as Nuremberg. Also took a day trip to Austria.

    If your hotel is near, visit the Augustiner Braustuben. Smaller and much less touristy than the more famous Hofbrauhaus. It was a block from our hotel so we ate there a number of nights

    Berchtesgaden is only a couple of hours by train from Munich, and well worth taking the time out for a visit...
