'I do not think we can hope for any better thing now.
We shall stick it out to the end, but we are getting weaker of course, and the end cannot be far.
It seems a pity, but I do not think I can write more. R. SCOTT.

Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader

Wow. Thats a real beauty of a flag.
Wow! I really hope this flag goes to a British museum, where it will be preserved properly and everyone can see it.
Does anyone know where the flag ended up?
Regards,
Jerry
Whatever its just an opinion.
It is now in the Zaricor Flag Collection in the USA (ZFC - 03. The Napoleonic Period & The War of 1812, 1799 - 1815). It appears to me to be a private collection, however, it is available for viewing through a website, which is to be commended. Looks like a very significant collection of early flags
Returning to the original sale, I doubt that any national museums in the UK could have found the money for a purchase like that these days.
Philip
Thanks for tracking down the link Philip. I see they also have U.S. Astronaut Neil Armstrong's Apollo 11 Hasselblad lunar surface camera in their collection. An impressive collection.
I collect, therefore I am.
Nothing in science can explain how consciousness arose from matter.
I'm sure this flag turned up on Antiques Road show a few years ago.
Don't forget the 20% buyers fees plus Tax!!!
Great Flag, too bad it did not stay in a Museum in the UK
The Gov should have bought it
Dean O
Most museums would expect it to be donated to them.
