    Gents,

I was going to post my question in the Gold Members area but as I would like to put it to the widest possible range of the membership that seemed self defeating. So, if this is not the right place for it I would be grateful if it could be moved.

I would like to know the experiences and opinions of ther members in respect of the US MIlitaria Forum.

Although I have been a collector for over 40 yrs and have a fairly good knowledge of many areas of the militaria field I recently considered that even though I do have US items in my collection my knowledge base of US items is not as great as I would like.
Therefore, I looked around for a suitable source and having heard it mentioned several times here as a recommendation by other members I thought to give it a try.

I registered as a member and was required to await validation. Not all forums do that but it is a wise approach and I was prepared for that. The forum info stated it should take up to 24 hrs, I was prepared for that. It also was indicated that if validation was not completed in 24hrs that one should email the forum administration.

I waited three days without validation being completed then emailed as indicated on the forum home page.

That was nearly two weeks ago and now my registered password does not work.

To be honest I have pretty much lost interest in a forum to which new membership seems to be a low priority but thought I should ask for opinions here just in case the fault is somewhere other than with USMF itself.

War Relics is certainly the best forum of its' type and I was simply seeking "specialist" information in a particular area in the same way that I belong to forums specialising in British and German militaria.

Any opinions or comments are very much appreciated.

    Regards

    Mark

I am a member over there under 644TD. No problems. Try the admin again.

I'm a member there too, knowledge base is very good but not without arrogance towards new members! but I guess this happens everywhere. Photo size uploads is a big issue for me there!

I must agree, not all but there are a few that have a bad attitude and brash demeanor.

    Thanks lads!

To be honest the mention of the 'A' word is probably enough for me on top of everything else. A bit like the "Big League" forum most of us prefer not to speak about!

Their loss, if that isn't me being a little "A" myself

Seriously, what's up with this forum? I've tried to register numerous times and have even tried to contact the administrator so he could verify my profile, but to no avail.

I’ve been in the forum for years. Believe it or not the US Militaria forum on Facebook is my choice. I was there for the founding and I have Greg Robinson’s copy of War Baby. Try the Facebook site. I’ve been at this since 1979 we all have a lot of knowledge to share.

The US Militaria board is stricter on US only and Facebook is awful if you even show an item captured by a US soldier with an RZM tag never mind swastika.
In most cases US Militaria is helpful and most of us collect British/Australian/Canada as well.
I do like Axis like this shown a No No on FB
The internet version of the US Militaria version is not as friendly as FB
