What are the best books for a beginning collectors?
Hi, I have just started to seriously pursue collecting of WWI and WWII items and I have realized there is a lot you need to know before any collecting can be done. I am looking for a collectors guide to WWI and WWII and maybe the American Civil War. I have looked at Warman's collectors guide, but I saw some bad reviews about it.
So could you guys give me some suggestions for good collectors guides?
Thanks,
Fight

Hi Fight !
Are you interested in collecting a particular area of WW2 ? ie. medals , buckles , uniforms , helmets, documents... etc? Third Reich, Allies... ?

Re: What are the best books for a beginning collectors?
Right now I really want a WWII American helmet. I am more interested in the Allied side, but I would like a German Helmet but those are out of my price range right now. I don't have a lot of room to put items so I am looking more for hang-able pieces right now, such as flags, and other small items. I also like personal items that are named or have a story behind them. I love when items have a story.
I am also interested in the same items from WWI.
Thanks!
