What is a good book that details the daily life of an agent of the SS?
I know this is an unusual request, but I need it as reference to a creative writing project. What I don't need is something that tells me the history of the SS and or Himmler--and that's all I'm finding on Amazon right now. I need a book that will tell me the little things--did they have free time, what were their daily responsibilities, how much power or freedom did they have to move about Germany, did they get vacation, could they access records, juggling marriage life etc. I have hundreds of little questions like that.
Unless there is a special book designed for this (under twenty dollars) I might have to resort to a memoir. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
